Summer Survival for Older Kids

Older children (older elementary aged and up) are definitely more self-sufficient however, it still can be difficult to find enjoyable things to do in the summer.

Ideas?

The Indianapolis Art Museum has free admission and is a beautiful place just to take the kids and walk around. Also, Traders Point Creamery is an inexpensive field trip where the kids can get up close and personal with the cows and see how milking happens. Plus, the creamery makes its own ice cream right there on the premises, and it's yummy!

Hi girls, I am going to a kids' concert on Wed morning at 10 with my 2 little ones in Carmel....Rudi wrote the following message. MISTY CASSADY~

Hi everybody!
Your pal Rudi here...
...lots of you know, but here's a reminder...I'm performing a free Ruditoonz concert on Wednesday, June 11 at 10am at West Park. There will be free Ruditoonz balloons and temporary tattoos for the kids and great music and great times!! The show will last approximately 1 hour and there will be a 'meet and greet' after for autographs, photos and such. In case of rain, the show will be moved to Carmel's Monon Center, just south of 116th on Rangeline, and I will post the change on the top of the homepage on my website, www.ruditoonz.com ...(i won't know until that morning, so check around 9am before driving!) West Park is located on the north side of 116th street in Carmel, just west of Towne Road. By the way, 116th is closed east of Towne Road, so you'll want to take 106th across and come up (north) Towne Rd from there, turning left (west) on 116th.
So, stay-at-home moms (or stay-at-home dads-how I envy that gig), come on out with the kids! Would love to see you all. Spread the word, tell your friends, and remember...Be Nice and Have Fun!!
